Rombek Esaya Kolorinda Rombek is a Financial Economist and humanitarian policy expert with over a decade of experience in economic reform, institutional development, and evidence-based policymaking in South Sudan and the wider East African region. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the Policy Strategy and Research Organization (PSRO) and serves as an External Member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Bank of South Sudan, where he contributes to shaping national monetary and financial stability policies.

A Chevening Scholar and MSc graduate in Financial Economics from the University of Kent (UK), Rombek is also a Chartered Financial Economist (Ch.FE) and Certified Economic Policy Analyst (CEPA) with the Association of Certified Chartered Economists (ACCE). His leadership bridges research and practice—informing government reforms, donor strategies, and private sector engagement in post-conflict economic recovery.

Rombek is recognized for his strategic leadership in South Sudan’s localization and pooled-fund agenda, his contributions to macroeconomic policy dialogue, and his mentorship of emerging economists and development practitioners. His vision for PSRO is to establish a center of excellence that drives innovative policy solutions for inclusive growth, resilience, and sustainable development in fragile economies.
